Fungus Home Remedies & Natural Remedies

Skin affected with fungus should be cleaned with an antiseptic soap.  This will help to kill any germs and also gets rid of any dirt that is harboring on the skin.  Once cleaned, try the skin thoroughly with a clean cotton towel.  It's also a good idea to use a hair dryer on low heat to dry skin well.  Fungus can spread if the skin is not kept dry and clean.  Anytime you remove your shoes, wash the feet thoroughly with the antiseptic soap and repeat this process.  While skin fungus can be found anywhere on the body, it is most commonly found on the feet.

Apple Cider Vinegar Fungus Home Remedy

A great home remedy for fungus to to remove dead skin as soon as it forms on the body.  Dead skin is a breeding ground for fungus and helps it to spread.  If you find that you have ringworm (which is not actually a worm, but a fungal infection), soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and gently massage onto the affected area.  A ringworm infection can be cleared within a week's time if this is done about three or four times daily.  Skin fungus infections can also be cleared up using nail polish.  While you can choose whichever color flatters your skin best, most people choose to treat with clear nail polish.  Simply apply a small amount to the infected area.  The nail polish will actually dry the skin out and begins to heal the area immediately.  These are some of the best natural home remedies for fungus you will find.

Foot fungus is one of the most common fungal infections.  To prevent a fungal infection of the feet, remove shoes as soon as possible and try to wear sandals whenever possible.  Once you have gotten fungus on the feet, it's wise to follow some simple steps to avoid a repeat infection.  Sweat helps fungus to spread and thrive, so always wear clean cotton socks and remove your shoes as soon as possible.  Before putting on shoes, apply baby powder to the feet.  This will not only keep your feet smelling fresh, but it also helps to absorb any moisture and keeps sweat from accumulating in your shoes.  While useful for your underarms, antiperspirant can be used on the feet as well.  This will help keep your feet dry throughout the day.  Another good idea to keep fungus from infecting the feet is to avoid wearing the same pair of shoes two days in a row.  Alternating pairs of shoes is not only good for your feet, but it allows the shoes to air out and gives the shoes adequate time to dry between wears.

Hydrogen Peroxide Fungus Home Remedy

You probably have one of the best home remedies for fungus in your bathroom.  Hydrogen peroxide is a very effective home remedy for fungus and helps to kill any infection and keep it from spreading.  To use hydrogen peroxide to kill a fungal infection, simply soak the affected area in a solution of hydrogen peroxide and water.  Skin will likely be very sensitive to the hydrogen peroxide at first, so you'll want to dilute it well with a good amount of water.  Facial or any kind of skin bleach is also very effective at treating fungal infections if hydrogen peroxide can't be found.  Bleach can be a skin irritant as well, so you may want to try an herbal remedy instead.  To treat fungus effectively, use essential oils like oregano essential oil, tea tree oil or garlic oil.  While each essential oil has specific instructions for use, you may want to dilute them with another oil before application.  Olive oil and vegetable oil are great for diluting essential oils that may be irritating to the skin.

A fungal skin infection can be easily treating by using a homemade paste.  This paste can be made by combining two parts of corn starch with one part thyme,  a half part of blood root and a few drops of tea tree oil.  Once this mixture is thoroughly combined, apply to the affected area.  You'll quickly begin to see improvement in the fungal infection if you do this at least once a day.  Thyme and tea tree oil are known to have excellent anti fungal properties.  Cornstarch is essential to this mixture since it will work to absorb any moisture around the fungal infection.  This homemade mixture can be used anywhere on the body, around the fungal infection or even on the genital area.
