Nausea Natural Home Remedies & Cures

Peppermint Gum

When nausea strikes, try chewing some peppermint gum. I have also had good fortune using yogi stomach ease tea, lemon ginger tea and just plain ginger tea.

Cold Pack

What works really good for me is to bathe the neck, face and for head with really cold water or, better yet, use ice packs. You can get a bag that's made for putting ice in it at the drugstore and it works really good for this. You can also take some wash cloths or towels, soak them with water and put them in the freezer for about 30 minutes. The coldness may be a little uncomfortable but for me it is much better than the throwing up.

Ginger

Ginger really does it! For a long time I have had chronic nausea and there is nothing that does the trick like ginger. When I'm feeling nauseous, I take several ginger capsules instead of drinking ginger tea. Ginger ale and gingersnap cookies also work. However, you have to be sure there is really ginger in the product. Some ginger ales really don't have any ginger in them. This really is the very best home remedy and natural cure for nausea. Tonic Water

Pour out about 4 ounces of tonic water (quinine water) and squeeze in the juice of one half lemon. Drink this and your nausea will be gone.

Saltines

Here are some of my favorite nausea remedies: saltines, ginger ale, green olives stuffed with garlic (this is the best), ginger ale, Coke syrup, Sprite and cool air.

Promethazine

As far as a pill you can take, promethazine is hands down the best I have ever used.

Alcohol

If you can catch yourself right when you get to the point of vomiting, take a few short sniffs from a bottle of rubbing alcohol. The alcohol vapors will temporarily dead in the nerve to the stomach and prevent you from vomiting. You can also carry a medical alcoholic rubbing pad in your pocket when you are out in the public.

Oregano Natural Remedy

Steep 2 tablespoons of oregano in a cup of hot water for about 15 minutes. Add a little sugar and drink it. This works for me every time.

Peppermint Oil

A really good home remedy for nausea is to put some peppermint essential oil on a tissue and breathe in the vapors when the waves of nausea appear.
