Nuts, Eggs & Beans Natural Anemia Home Remedy

If you suffer from anemia, be sure to get the proper nutrients in your body.  Be sure that you eat a diet that is full of nuts, eggs and beans.  Include lots of fresh organic fruits and vegetables.  Be sure to add lots of dairy products (like cheese, milk and yogurt), pasta, rice and cereals to your diet as well.

* * *

Iron

To beat anemia eat a diet that is high in iron.  Foods full of iron include whole grain flour, whole grain pasta, prunes, raisins, molasses, lentils, brown rice, oysters, dried fruits, beets and leafy greens and liver.  Eat these foods and you'll find it easy to cure your anemia naturally.

Avoid Tea & Coffee

Tea, coffee and antacid medications tend to decrease iron absorption by the body and make anemia worse.  Avoid these foods for a good home remedy for anemia.  These foods hinder the absorption of iron in the body and make anemia worse.

The amount of iron in your food directly affects your anemia.  An interesting and easy way to effectively increase the amount of iron in your food is to cook in iron pots.  While this may sound strange, it is actually one of the easiest home remedies for anemia. With this amazing home remedy for anemia, you don't have to add any iron supplements to your daily routine and you also don't have to begin to eat any foods that you don't necessarily like (you also don't have to give up foods that you do love!).

Anemia can be common during pregnancy.  When this happens, be sure that you're taking the correct neonatal vitamins.  This is not only very important for your baby, but it's also very important for your health as well.  There is a significant amount of iron in neonatal vitamins and this is a wonderful natural remedy for anemia.  Be sure to visit your obstetrician regularly for all of your prenatal visits.  This is imperative as they are able to monitor your iron levels to avoid having to treat you for anemia, and this also ensures that you give birth to a healthy baby.

Elemental Iron

Another remedy is to be sure to take one hundred milligrams of elemental iron (either Iron asparate, picolinate or citrate) or the organic form of Iron (amino acid chelate).  It is important that you do not take take the poorer, lesser quality Iron supplement iron sulphate.  This is not absorbed well by the body.  Be sure that you also add a folic acid supplement with vitamin B6, B12 and desicated liver tablets.

Manganese

While it's essential for people that have iron deficiency anemia, manganese is also a great natural cure for lots of other health problems.  If you have a manganese deficiency, you may also be anemic, suffer from breast ailments, memory loss, heart problems, high cholesterol, eye problems, confusion and atherosclerosis.  Manganese not only helps to naturally cure anemia, but it can also help with fat and protein metabolism, helps to boost the immune system and regulates the body's blood sugar level.  Herbs are also an excellent addition to a manganese regimen.  Add about a teaspoon of yellow dock root tincture three times a day to your daily vitamin intake.  You'll also find that a great natural cure for anemia is to simply add dandelion greens to salads, or take a dandelion extract pill.

Simply take iron pills.  When I was first diagnosed with anemia, I simply began taking an iron supplement and this went away.  Iron supplements can be found anywhere, even at your local dollar store.  Be sure to purchase a good quality supplement, though.

Coffee should be avoided at all costs.  It is horrible for people that are anemia because it stops the absorption of iron in the blood.  Another great home remedy for anemia that I've found to be very effective is to cook my food in iron pans.  While this sounds strange, it actually seeps into your food and fortifies it with additional iron.

Molasses

When I was in my late thirties, I suffered from horrible anemia.  It got to be so awful, that I even began to lose my hair.  When I couldn't stand the thought of wearing a wig, I decided to turn to a natural remedy for my anemia.  I began to add sulphured blackstrap molasses to my daily regimen.  I would take about one tablespoon daily with some milk.  I was amazed to find that my hair loss stopped in less than a week.  I also found that beet juice was extremely effective as a natural remedy for anemia.  Do not take over the counter or prescription pills; they simply do to help with anemia.

Foods

While there are several causes of anemia, deficiency in iron, folate and vitamin B12 are common causes.  Be sure to eat lots of dark leafy green vegetables.  These vegetables are excellent natural sources of iron, and this kind of iron is easily absorbed by the body.  To get lots of folate, try lentils, beans, and black-eyed peas.  To get a lot of B12, look to fish like mackerel and salmon.

* * *

Figs as Anemia Natural Remedy

When I suffered from anemia, I found that eating dried figs (about three to four a day) would greatly help.

* * *

Apples

After giving birth to my daughter, I was diagnosed as anemic.  To help naturally cure my anemia, I was told to eat lots of apples.  This is a great way to get iron into your system without taking pills.  Be sure that you eat the peel of the apple, though.  It is important that you don't peel the apple prior to eating it, because this is where a lot of the nutrients are.

* * *

Tea should be avoided at all costs if you are anemic, especially with the type of anemia that is caused by an iron deficiency.  Tea actually pulls iron out of the blood, and this is especially harmful if you don't have enough iron.  Instead, you'll want to eat lots of peanut butter.  Candy bars have lots of iron, too, but the peanut butter is obviously better for you.

* * *

A wonderful and simply home remedy for anemia is to simply add about three apples a day to your diet.  Apples are rich in iron and this is perfect for someone suffering from anemia.  Try this and you'll see how much better you feel!

* * *

Vitamin B12

Anemia can both be cured and prevented by getting enough vitamin B12.  You can find rich sources of this vitamin in liver and kidneys from animals and other animal proteins.

* * *

Because they interfere with iron absorption in the body, coffee and tea should be avoided at all costs.

* * *

Beet Juice

Beet juice is wonderful for anemia.  It is rich in vitamins and minerals that are essential for keeping the blood and body healthy.  Beets contain vitamins P, C, B6, B2 and B1, fat, protein, carbohydrates, copper, iron, iodine, sulphur, calcium, phosphorus and potassium.  All of these are essential for effectively treating anemia.

Cold Baths

My mother would always take cold baths when she was suffering from anemia.  She would always take two baths every day and this helped her anemia tremendously.

* * *

Epsom Salt Bath

Once a week, try taking a hot Epsom salt bath for about ten minutes.  Cold friction is also very effective.  Both of these are outstanding.

Vitamin D

Sunlight is wonderful for the production of Vitamin D and it also helps to increase the body's production of red blood cells.  This is why sunlight is a great natural treatment.  If you suffer from anemia, try to get lots of sunlight, and you'll notice an improvement in your symptoms.

Honey

Honey can be mixed with either lemon or apple cider vinegar.  This is best when taken in the morning.  You'll notice that honey is an excellent natural cure for many physical ailments, but is especially effective when used to treat anemia.

Perhaps the most simple and one of the most effective home remedies for anemia is a simply body massage.  If done daily, there will be an increase in the level of blood in the body.  This is wonderfully effective when used to treat anemia.

* * *

Vitamin C

Iron is more easily absorbed by the body when accompanied with a liberal dose of vitamin C (labeled as ascorbic acid when used as an additive in food).  One of the best natural sources of vitamin C is Indian Gooseberry (Amla).  You'll find that this is a great natural treatment for anemia.

* * *

Walking is a wonderful exercise and it's a great way to get your blood flowing.  Not only does it naturally tone muscles without doing very strenuous exercises, but it helps to increase your blood level.  This accompanied with deep breathing.

Yoga

Yoga is excellent exercise and is a great for anemia.  Try various asanas like havasana, uttanpadsana, paschomittanasana and sarvangasana for anemia.

Herbs

Herbs are great natural treatments for lots of chronic illnesses, and anemia is no exception.  Herbs are rich in minerals and vitamins, and this is exactly the natural treatment that is needed for curing anemia.  Be sure to include alfalfa, barley greens, dandelion and dong quai as herbs for treating anemia.

* * *

Beets and Mint

In a juice mixer, combine one beetroot with a handful of mint leaves.  This concoction increases the hemoglobin in the blood.

* * *

Beans as Anemia Home Remedy

Try to eat bean soup as often as possible.  Beans are excellent for treating anemia, and this should be eaten as a meal as many times a week as you can.  Pinto beans or black beans are acceptable.  Even if you don't like beans, try to eat just the soup.  This is a great home remedy for anemia.

* * *

Eat soup made from beetroot daily.  This should be done for two weeks.  This is will increase the amount of blood in the body and combats anemia naturally.

* * *

Pomegranate Seeds

To naturally treat anemia, try eating some pomegranate seeds in the morning on an empty stomach.  This increases the blood level.

* * *

Jaggery

Hemoglobin production is increased naturally when you use jaggery instead of sugar when mixed in milk and juices and other beverages.

* * *

Honey, Apple Juice & Beet Juice

One of my favorite home remedies for anemia is to drink a mixture of honey or sugar with a cup of apple juice and beetroot juice.  This should be drunk once daily for anemia.

Banana as Natural Anemia Home Remedy

Anemia can be naturally treated by eating a banana with a tablespoon of honey twice a day.  Be sure that the banana is ripe.

Currents

My uncle loved this remedy.  He would soak about ten currants in water overnight.  In the morning, he would remove the seeds and eat the currants.  This was done first thing in the morning for about a month.  He would use this whenever he found his anemia acting up again and it always worked well for him.

Lots of dieticians prescribe wormwood as a natural remedy and treatment for anemia.  It has lots of health benefits and has been used for many years as a natural home remedy for lots of ailments.

* * *

Fenugreek

Fenugreek is great when consumed in moderate amounts.  It is great for anemia and during menstruation.  It is a healthy natural blood tonic that maintains the levels of iron in blood.  This is a great natural treatment for anemia.
