Stop Bed Wetting

Avoiding Dairy

I watched a DVD in which Dr. John McDougall, M.D. explained how dairy products cause bedwetting.  We eliminated dairy products for our 8 year old and it worked just as he said it would.  This is a simple and effective home remedy for bedwetting.  Google McDougall.

Herbal Tea

Make a tea from equal parts plantain and St. John's Wort. Use one small teaspoon full to a cup of hot water.  Steep the tea. In doses of 1/4 of a cup at a time, give 2 cups of this a day.  Sweeten the tea with a little honey.  This is according to Jethro Kloss in Back to Eden.

Walnuts

I have a home remedy to stop bedwetting that was handed down to me from my grandparents.  It kind of sounds strange; but, you must see to it that your child eats a couple walnut halves accompanied by a teaspoon of raisins before going to sleep.

No Additives

I suggest that you have your children avoid fruit, meat, sweets, and/or any of the artificial additives that are out there.  Do this, and you’ll see a difference.

Parsley & Cinnamon Bed Wetting Home Remedy

Make sure your child eats parsley or chews on cinnamon bark.  Don’t ask me why; but, this will work.  Once your child has any bedwetting episodes; get out the parsley and cinnamon bark.  The bedwetting will come to an end.

If you want to put an end to the bedwetting; then make your child take some ursi and cornsilk.  This will prevent any more incidences of bedwetting and save on the laundry bill.

To stop incidents of bedwetting make sure your child does not drink fluids two to four hours before bedtime.  Also, try to maintain a calm stress free environment for your child.  In terms of diet; avoid any processed sugar and be sure to include bananas and cranberry juice.   Lastly, kiss bedwetting goodbye.

I recommend a procedure that basically helps your child to stretch his/her bladder and thus to be able to withhold urine for longer periods of time.  You accomplish this by making your child wait a little longer to use the bathroom when having to urinate.  This process will enable your child to sleep through the night without the bedwetting experience.

I had bedwetting problems as a child until I was 12 years of age.  The key for me was discovering how to wake up during the night and to go use the bathroom.  I used to be in a dream state and think I was awake and would just wet my bed.  My father started me learning the process of waking up during the night and using the bathroom.  He would wake me up around midnight and have me use the bathroom.  My mind eventually developed this pattern of waking up and the bedwetting issue soon went away.   Doctors may have physical answers or suggestions; but, they don’t offer support regarding your state of mind.  I have advice to all the parents out there; don’t punish your child because of bedwetting.  Believe me, the guilt and self esteem takes a solid hit without the parents delivering unnecessary psychological blows.

Trigger Points

Here is home remedy for bedwetting that I doubt few have heard of.  Just under the belly button in the lower abdominal muscles are several trigger points, which are related to bladder release.  If you lightly massage this area for about 15 seconds several times throughout the day; this can alleviate the pressure the bladder feels toward release.

Make sure to give your child a tablespoon of orange blossom honey before bed time and bedwetting will cease to exist.
