High Blood Pressure Natural Cures & Home Remedies

Herbs

Purchase the raw herbs YAROW, CRAMP BARK, and WOOD BETONY. Grind them in a coffee grinder being careful not to get them hot as that will destroy their healing properties. Purchase a simple encapsulator for AA size capsules and the capsules themselves. None of this is expensive. Keeping each herb separate from the others with jars, encapsulate them according to the directions on the encapsulator\'s sheet. Once all the encapsulating is done, take one of each herb 3x daily for 3 weeks, and severely limit salt intake and stressful situations. My blood pressure was 168 over 104. After three weeks of the 3 herbs taken 3X a day, it was 123 over 72.  Michael 11-3-2011

Diet

An important medical report of various clinical studies having to do with treating blood pressure with drugs, arrived at the following conclusions:

"There will be no appreciable benefit to an individual from treating a diastolic pressure (the lower number) of less than 100mm Hg.”

"Secondly, there is no evidence that any particular level of systolic pressure (the upper number)  should be treated, and thus there is no reason to treat patients with isolated systolic hypertension, however that might be defined."

"Thirdly, blood pressure varies… It is prudent to check the pressure on several occasions before deciding whether to treat…"

"Fourthly, it is probably more important to stop a patient smoking than to treat his mildly raised blood pressure."

The central cause for the development of high blood pressure is several years of eating like like royalty and consuming large quantities of rich foods laden with fats, salt and sugar.  The time it takes for these foods to change the flow of blood within the arteries and veins is short.  In USA high schools, 1 in 8 students have already begun to experience high blood pressure.  If an individual does not closely monitor his or her own diet, blood vessels will inevitable become diseased.  A vessel will be clogged with a clot or the vessel itself will rupture causing the death of parts of the heart muscle or the brain.  This can leave the victim of poor diet as an invalid in a wheel chair or unable to work for the rest of his life if it does not kill him outright.  It is a fact that an event like this will often times bring death to the entire body in a matter of seconds.  It is very necessary that vigor and health be regained by the blood vessels in as short a time as possible or else they may burst to the outside or the inside.  Healling will begin in the blood vessels when the bad foods are stoped.  We must change our diet to foods that are low in fat, have no cholesterol and are high in fiber.  Once this is done, blood will begin to flow smoothly in a matter of a few hours.  The healing starts when the fats are no longer coating the blood cells which causes them to clump and stick together.  Spasms in the blood vessels will also end in a matter of hours when we have brought an end to the fatty sludge in our blood.  In most cases, blood pressure will return to normal in about 2 days time.  The ideal foods are a plant based diet with no oils like olive oil or canola oil.  Only meat and dairy foods have cholesterol.  There is no cholesterol in plants. Watch the following 2 minute video with Dr. John McDougall, MD, where he explains high blood pressure from a natural perspective.  High blood pressure is not a disease, it is a symptom in the same way that a fever is not a disease but a symptom.  Blood pressure lowering drugs do nothing to cure the underlying disease.

What's Wrong With Taking Blood Pressure Medicine?

Research and studies have revealed much about blood pressure and the ways it can become elevated.  Studies have also shown that treating high blood pressure with pills to lower it can have adverse effects.  Too much medication can lead to increased heart attack risk, along with stroke and even death.  This is especially true when the medication is instrumental in lowering the diastolic (bottom number) blood pressure to 85-90mm Hg.  The validity of blood pressure drugs has come under scrutiny.  An important study had these conclusions: If a person has less than 100mmHg on  the diastolic measurement (the lower of the two) there is not a benefit to taking drug treatment approach. High Blood Pressure Medicine Side Effects

Prescription drugs designed to lower blood pressure accomplish this by poisoning the body in numerous ways. Yes, "Poison" is the right word. The definition of poison in chemistry means to inhibit or block a reaction or a substance. The action of adrenaline on the heart muscle is inhibited by beta-blockers, the contraction of blood vessels is inhibited by calcium channel blockers, ACE inhibitors and angiotensin receptor blockers also inhibit and block the hormones that regulate blood pressure that are produced by the adrenal glands, and diuretics poison the water and inhibit the ability of the kidneys to conserve electrolytes.  Click here to read the rest of this article:  High Blood Pressure Medicine Side Effects

Question Your Doctor's Advice

Recently a friend of mine had a check up and his blood pressure was high so the doc prescribed a blood pressure medicine.  I asked my friend how high it was and he didn't know.  He never questioned anything about this.  Then I told him that blood pressure goes up and down and it needs to stay high for a period of time to consider taking any action.  A good doctor will ask the patient to go home and take their blood pressure for a couple of weeks at the same time every day and log it.  But this doctor put him on meds after only one visit!  He had never been to this doctor before.  So we got him a blood pressure cuff and he stopped his pills (he had only been taking them a few days) and from then on his blood pressure was great - about 120 over 70 every time!  Don't ever accept anything a doctor tells you. Research it for yourself.

Beet Juice

In a scientific study done by the University of Exiter and reported in the Journal of Applied Physiology, people who drink a glass or two of beet juice daily had their blood pressure going down dramatically within 24 hours. Beet juice is rich in nutrients that help our cardiovascular system thus improving the function of our heart and reducing blood pressure.  Beet juice improves blood flow by relaxing and dialating the blood vessels thus lowering blood pressure.  It also lowers the level of oxygen muscles require to perform physical activity.  This effect on the muscles makes beet juice effective for people of all ages and in any health status, to engage in both high and low intensity physical activities.  Researchers reported that persons who consumbed beet juice needed 12 percent less exertion to walk than person who did not have beet juice.  Researchers further compared beet juice in its whole form and juice that had its nitrates removed by filtering and the team was able to report that the naturally occurring nitrates are the main ingredient that provides elevated performance and heart activity.

Relaxation Techniques

If you are experiencing dizzy symptoms, and it seems like your blood is rushing to your head; I have a couple suggestions.  First, take a relaxing warm shower.  Follow this by lying down on your back with your head flat, not using a pillow.  Do this so that your head is at the same level as your heart.  Also do this in a dark and quiet room.  Try to stay calm and breathe deeply.

Lose Weight

Often people who experience hypertension are those who are overweight or obese.  When someone is overweight, they usually have a lot more hypertension and thus high blood pressure.  However, even if a person loses only half of their extra weight, they can restore their normal blood pressure.  A person should try to lose all the extra weight they can; but, whatever amount they do lose is going to be a helpful.

Reduce Salt Intake

You may be able to reduce your blood pressure with a simple natural home remedy by reducing your salt intake.  Some people are considered to be salt sensitive.  This means that the amount of salt they include in their diet could have an impact on their blood pressure level.  If you think you might be salt sensitive, try going on a low sodium diet and see what effect this has on your blood pressure.  It is recommended to cut down to about five grams of salt daily.  This is about half of what the average American uses in their diet.  Often times when someone reduces their salt intake, they discover that they actually don’t find a need to have as much salt as they previously used in their diet.  And, of course this is healthier for them.  This is a useful high blood pressure natural cure.

Avoid Alcohol as Natural Remedy for High Blood Pressure

It is well known that alcohol consumption is linked with high blood pressure.  If you have hypertension, you shouldn’t drink a lot.  If you drink more than one or two drinks a day, you’re probably going to start experiencing problems.

Aerobic not Isometric Excercise

If you are experiencing elevated blood pressure, then you need to avoid isometric exercising like weight lifting.  This type of exercise could cause your blood pressure to temporarily shoot up really high.  Aerobic exercise is preferred and actually recommended as a home remedy for high blood pressure.  There are various types of aerobic exercises that are good to do.  You can do things like go for a walk, ride a bike, or go swimming.  When you do aerobic exercise your blood pressure rises and when you finish it goes back down.  Then the next time the pressure rises, it’s not as high.  This demonstrates the value of aerobic exercise.  Just make sure to start slow and gradually increase over time.

Vegetarian Diet

It has been proven in studies that people who are vegetarians, have lower blood pressure than the rest of the main population.  They have 10 to 15 mm Hg. lower for the diastolic and systolic pressures.  So if you have high blood pressure and are looking for a natural cure, you may consider the vegetarian diet.   If you can’t do that, then cut back.  A low fat diet with no meat and no dairy is the ideal natural cure for high blood pressure.  Eating a diet high in fat makes the blood clump together which raises our blood pressure.  This is one of the best natural cures and home remedies for treating high blood pressure.
