After I returned home from the doctor visit; the first thing I did was to sit down and raise my feet up and rest.   He said that this would be very important to do throughout the day.  I have a job where I sit at the computer all day, and when I can I will take breaks and elevate my legs.  The doctor didn’t prescribe any medications and instead told me this would be a natural cure approach for my edema.
