Dislocation Home Remedies & Treatments

A dislocation is when an injury occurs in a joint.  This is any place where 2 or more bones meet.  The relationship of these bones is put out of their normal positioning.  When this occurs, it will often skew the joint and render it unusable.  There may also be rapid and intense pain.  The hips, thumbs and shoulders are the most common locations for dislocations.  Symptoms can be similar to a bone that is broken including a sensation of needles and pins or a numbing feeling below the location of the injury.  This is caused by constricted blood vessels or compressed nerves.  One should not attempt to restore the bones to their natural order rather this should be done by a trained health professional.

There are good homeopathic home remedies for dislocations.  When the joint has been set properly and the initial pain has been dealt with, one can take the homeopathic medicine Calc phos 6x.  This has proven to be useful for dislocation pain when taken three times each day for as long as 4 weeks.  It will promote thorough healing of the joint.

Another homeopathic dislocation home remedy is to take Arnica Montana in a high dosage.  Not only will it give pain relief with no side effects, but it will lessen the swelling and inflammation and help remove the feeling of shock that one has after such an injury.  If the patient is currently taking other medications, this will not conflict.  Arnica Montana will help give relief from the normal painful nights in which sleep is fleeting.  The level of pain is the indicator of how much to take.  To put it another way, if the pain is intense, one can take Arnica Montana in the beginning every ten to thirty minutes.  This will remove the suffering.  Even if the pain is producing nausea this will be relieved.  Arnica Montana can be taken for days as long as the  pain persists.

DMSO is a great home remedy for dislocated joint pain.  Apply it to the skin around the joint several times a day.  DMSO has powerful analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.  One can take this a step further by putting a teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a small bottle or jar along with 4 ounces of DMSO.  Let it set for a day or two and apply it to a dislocation. Sports persons and trainers have used DMSO for dislocations and sprains for decades.  It is also given intravenously to cancer patients.  Try it on a sore back as well.

As soon as the dislocation occurs, put an ice pack on it immediately.  This will reduce the swelling.  It is the swelling that causes much of the pain after the injury.

***

Take dolomite and bone meal to aid in healing the dislocation.

***

Lobelia and cayenne will help relieve the pain and relax the muscles.
