Mouth Sores Natural Home Remedies

Raw Liquor

A great home remedy to get rid of mouth sores is to soak a cotton swab in raw liquor and then press it onto the spot for about two minutes.  You should notice that the sore will be healed in about two days.  Keep in mind that this will burn and cause quite a bit of discomfort, but you'll be happy to see the fast results.

MMS

Many have prevented or cured their mouth sores with MMS or Master Mineral Solution. It is cheap and commonly available. This is the most effective most powerful antibiotic and antiviral compound ever discovered. Millions have used it successfully - not toxic to human cells and has no known side effects. Tea Tree Oil

Mouth ulcers can be quickly healed using tea tree oil.  This is a great natural remedy that will immediately relieve any pain and also has wonderful natural antiseptic properties.  This is important because these properties promote healing and help the sores to heal faster.

Vitamin and Mineral Deficiency

While not quite a home remedy for mouth ulcers, it's important to understand what can cause them.  Mouth ulcers are typically caused by low levels of iron or low levels of B12.  If you are deficient in either vitamin or mineral you may find sores developing frequently.  Instead, have your levels checked and consider taking a supplement if your health care professional recommends.

Simarouba Leaves

Boil simarouba leaves in clean, filtered water for approximately ten minutes and allow to cool.  Then, roll them inside your mouth and drink.  You'll find that this is a great way to get rid of mouth sores.

B-Actif Comfrey Extract

Try B-actif comfrey extract. You should only need one drop on the spot and it'll heal quickly.  Be sure that when you go to purchase this, you ask for the extract and not the tonic.  The tonic is plant food and will not work on mouth ulcers.

Steaming Water and Sage

Make a homemade treatment using 10 ounces of steaming water with one and a half teaspoons of dried sage.  Cover the sage and steaming water and allow the mixture to simmer together for approximately twenty minutes.  After the twenty minutes has lapsed, add about a half of a teaspoon of sea salt to the mixture and stir well.  Then, after you've brushed your teeth at night, clean your mouth with about one ounce of this mixture.

Cardamom Pods

Cardamom pods twice a day are a great way to get rid of painful spots in your mouth.  They will also get rid of bad breath as well!

Rinsing Mouth

My husband would always suffer from bad mouth sores.  We started keeping a log and found that he would suffer from constipation around the same time he would suffer from the mouth ulcers.  So, we started having him rinse his mouth out after going to the bathroom and found that the problem went away.  My parents and grandparents from India have always done this throughout their lives and have never had an issue with this.

Mouth Care

A great home remedy that I have found for mouth sores is quite simple to do.  I always use an SLS (sodium laureth sulfate) free toothpaste and mouthwash.  After I have brushed my teeth and rinsed my mouth, I then follow with diflam antibacterial spray and diflam lozenges.  It is also important that the lozenges have an anaesthetic and some panadol listed as ingredients.  If I have particularly bothersome sores, then I will rinse with salt water.  They are usually gone after this routine and few nights of good, solid sleep.

Campho-phenique

Try using campho-phenique.  While the label on it does say that it shouldn't be used inside, the mouth, I have found this to be an extremely effective remedy for oral sores.  I'm careful to blot the sores dry using a cotton swab before applying the campho-phenique.  Be sure to allow the campho-phenique to soak into the mouth sore for a few moments before closing your mouth.  This has worked very well for myself and lots of members of my family.

Butter Milk

Try rinsing your mouth out with butter milk.  This certainly doesn't taste too great, but it works very well as a natural remedy for curing mouth sores.

Folic Acid

The best and most effective natural remedy for painful oral erruptions is a daily supplement of folic acid.  I have had these all my life and have recently found relief with the folic acid.  Be sure to take the folic acid daily, and you'll be greatly surprised by how well this natural remedy works to get rid of mouth ulcers.  If you feel a sore starting to form, increase your intake of folic acid to several tablets a day.

Alprazolam and Lacto Bacillus

Ulcers in the mouth are commonly caused by an excess of gastric juice in the body.  You can treat this naturally and get rid of the superfluous acid by taking alprazolam and lacto bacilis.  It is also important that you get plenty of sleep.

Calcium Mouth Sore Home Remedy

When I was suffering from mouth sores, I was unable to stand the pain.  Finally, I went to the doctor.  My doctor suggested that I try something that has lots of calcium to reduce the high levels of acid in my body.  Tums and Rolaids are good sources of calcium, but I would also try taking a natural calcium supplement from a health food store.  I also found that placing the Tums or Rolaids tablet direct onto the sore really helped with the pain.

Alum and Honey

Make a natural mixture of alum and honey.  Simply mix powdered alum with a little bit of honey and apply to the sore with a clean cloth.  This tastes absolutely dreadful, but the result is worth it!
