A good home remedy for bleeding is to get hold of a clean cloth or a gauze if you have one and press firmly on the wound.  This is how to stop bleeding.

How to Stop Bleeding with Ice

Try to get an ice bag to put on the wound and to slow down the bleeding.

I have a remedy to share regarding nose bleeds.  If you want to stop the bleeding, have the person smell vinegar.  You should see the bleeding stop soon.  The vinegar works so well because it actually burns the blood vessel ends.

How to Stop Bleeding with Sugar

To stop the flow of bleeding from a wound; sprinkle a little sugar over the wound and let it settle in.  However, don’t use this approach for a nose bleed.

My home remedy for bleeding is weird but it works.  It is for a wound with severe bleeding but one that doesn’t need any stitches.  You find some spider webs and make a wad of them and place them over the wound.  This is quicker than a bandage.  After the bleeding has subsided, take off the spider webs and thoroughly clean using peroxide.  This has really worked for me.

How to Stop Bleeding with White Vinegar

If you suffer a wound, you can put white vinegar on it to help stop the bleeding and not experience pain.  But, be sure to follow up with a doctor to see if stitches are needed.

When people suffer a wound and start to bleed they often feel light headed and woozy.  Try to make sure that they are relaxed as much as possible.  Have them sit down, take deep breaths, try to redirect them, etc.  Next, try to get a clean dry cloth and hold it firmly on the wound for at least ten minutes. Don’t keep checking every other minute or less.  This won’t help in your effort to stop the bleeding.  After you’ve had the cloth on the wound for ten minutes; check to see how the wound is doing.  If blood is still rushing out; call for help and put the cloth back on for another 30 minutes.

If the bleeding has stopped, then wash it with clean water.  If there is some debris that you can remove, use sterilized tweezers to remove it.

If you don’t know how bad the wound is, go to the hospital.  Usually if the wound is jagged, over ¼ inch deep, or has something sticking out (Fat, Muscle), then it needs stitching.  Also, if a person is experiencing numbing, and other unusual sensations, get some help.

Most people think that you need to apply a tourniquet if the wound appears serious.  Generally, you should only apply a tourniquet if there is a severed limb.
