Anemia in Children Home Remedies



As a home remedy for anemia in children, you can increase the iron content in foods by using an iron skillet.  This is especially effective when cooking acid rich foods like tomatoes and will go far to eliminate anemia in children.


Dried Fruit

The child should eat dried fruit because it contains concentrated minerals like iron.  Special focus should be on the child eating apricots, raisins, and figs.


To cure or prevent anemia in children, make sure that the child gets lots of vitamin C which increases the ability to absorb the iron.  Foods that are rich in Vitamin C include citrus fruits, green peppers, and broccoli.


Make sure that the child eats foods that contain lots of iron.  Some of these type of foods include almonds, beans, and whole grain products.


A great home remedy for anemia is to make sure to breast feed infants as this provides iron; especially if this is the likely source of the anemia.
