Heat stroke is a serious condition and needs to be addressed immediately. My home remedy for heat stroke has been to take a cold water bath for 5 to 10 minutes. It is important to have a family member or someone to assist you in and out of the shower in case you experience light-headedness or complications.

Ice Pack Heat Stroke Home Remedy

My family has always taught me that heat stroke is something to treat quickly and with ice. They have told me that one of the quickest ways to cool your body down is to make up small bags of ice using zip lock bags or whatever is handy and then place them at the back of your neck, in your groin area and on your chest and back. Leave the ice there at least ten minutes if not a bit longer to assure you cool down adequately.

Reducing Sodium Intake

My uncle had a history of getting heat strokes. Our family researched various home remedies for heat stroke until we finally found what worked best for him. He was eating a diet high in salt and thus his chances for getting heat stroke were always high. Once he reduced his sodium intake he stopped getting heat stroke so often. Excessive sodium impacts the functioning of our sweat production and leaves us quite vulnerable to heat stroke if we live in a hot climate. Simply reduce your salt intake as a natural home remedy for heat stroke.

I did not realize I had heat stroke and I could have really hurt myself by not treating it properly. I would like to share some of the symptoms I experienced when I had heat stroke to help others be more aware. My stomach was nauseated and I had a bad headache, I was also somewhat dizzy and really tired. I have researched heat stroke and learned that some people actually have a fever as well. It is super important to drink water or an electrolyte beverage when you have heat stroke because you are probably dehydrated. I took a cool shower and put an ice pack on my forehead and stomach. Eventually I started to feel better.  This is one of the best home remedies for heat stroke.
