High Fiber

Another great natural remedy for fibromyalgia is to be sure to eat a diet that is high in fiber.  This can be done by including lots of raw and steamed vegetables, and lots of leafy greens.  Beans are very high in fiber.  Eat only whole grains as processed flour has no fiber.

It is very important that the muscles receive a steady supply of nutrients throughout the day.  To ensure proper muscle function with fibromyalgia, be sure to treat it naturally by eating several (four to five) small meals a day.

Processed foods and any foods that are high in hydrogenated or saturated fats should be avoided.  Foods high in saturated fats include meat, margarine and dairy products.  Avoiding these foods is a great natural treatment for fibromyalgia, because these foods can interfere with circulation.  If circulation is interfered with inflammation and pain will be increased.

If you're suffering from fibromyalgia, perhaps one of the easiest and most effective treatments is to avoid sugar, alcohol and caffeine.  These substances can disrupt normal sleep, increase muscle pain and enhance fatigue.

Water, herbal teas and fresh juices should be consumed daily, with an emphasis on pure, filtered water. Drink eight glasses of water daily.  Consuming this amount of fluids is beneficial because it helps the body to flush toxins.  This is a great natural treatment for fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia Natural Treatment with Supplements

One of the most effective fibromyalgia natural remedies is ACES therapy.  This includes taking a number of supplements daily.  These supplements are 5,000 to 10,000 IU of vitamin A, 10,000 milligrams of buffered vitamin C, 400 to 800 IU of vitamin E and 200 micrograms of selenium.  Anti-oxidants are very beneficial to the body as they combat damage done by free radicals at the cellular level. Vitamins A, C and E are all anti-oxidants.  Vitamin E helps to reduce muscle pain and improves circulation.

Essential fatty acids are wonderful natural anti-inflammatories in the body.  Evening primrose oil is wonderful natural source of these acids.  Evening primrose oil is an excellent home remedy for fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia can be treated naturally with intramuscular injections of vitamin B12 and magnesium sulfate.  B12 and magnesium sulfate are thought to be helpful with fatigue, insomnia and pain associated with fibromyalgia. Be aware that this treatment will need to be carried out long-term (usually three to six months), and it is possible for the fibromyalgia to relapse.
